Easter is not a holy-day; it’s a holy-season.

According to the church calendar the joy, beauty, and mystery of Easter cannot be contained in a single celebratory morning, but rather spills over into 50 days! We need 50 days to comprehend the implications of the resurrection, we need 50 days to sit in the wonder of the empty tomb, we need 50 days to allow our eyes, ears, hearts, minds, and souls to be recalibrated and reoriented around the fact that Jesus of Nazareth died and came back to life. We, too, need 50 days to discern, decipher, and delineate where the resurrected Jesus is, what He’s up to, and what He’s inviting us to do. For the next 4 weeks, that’s what we’re going to do!
